A ceramic dinner where the vessel mattered as much as the acid. Winter light, orange oil, clay still warm.

The evening
We borrowed a potter's studio for one night.
Courses arrived in pieces thrown that week — raw edges, glaze still speaking. Citrus cut through fat; clay held heat longer than porcelain ever would.
This was the night the table went quiet between bites.

Recap
Sixteen hands. Nine courses. Zero leftovers.
The yuzu kosho course divided the room — half wanted a second pour of the orange-skin wine, half wanted silence.

The bowl for the roasted roots was still warm when it hit the table. I still think about that yuzu kosho — it split the room and somehow made us closer.
